Letting Go Requires Recognition

Greetings from the end of 29th week of the sacred calendar.

The Deeper Meaning

There are weeks when the Emanations seem to move in different directions, but this was not one of them. Across the last several days, the same message has appeared again and again, changing slightly each time as though we were being walked through a sequence.

First came recognition. See yourself clearly. Recognise the power you actually possess. Notice your capacity to choose, create, discriminate and act. Stop handing your authority to structures, expectations or identities simply because they have been standing there for a long time.

Then came transformation. Something cannot remain as it was. The readings repeatedly returned to shedding, changing and allowing desire to expose what the heart is actually reaching toward. But importantly, desire was never presented as a command that reality must obey. Again and again it appeared beside balance, judgment, restraint and the need to see things as they really are.

Spiritual work is not pretending that wanting something makes it true. That condition is known as “Spiritual Bypassing”. Rather, it is important to allow desire to reveal something about us, and then discern what must change in order for that desire to become properly ordered.

Finally, the Emanations moved toward surrender. This is about the type of surrender as the relinquishment of unnecessary control. There is a point at which discernment has done its work. You have looked and you have questioned. But there always comes a point where you have recognised what belongs to you and what does not. And then something much harder begins. You have to allow the things you cannot control, to unfold on their own, in their own time, in their own way.

The recurring tension this past week has therefore been between power and surrender. Between recognising that you are capable of shaping your life and recognising that you are not its sole author, and being ok with the silence or awkwardness once you finally let go of the things that you were never in control of anyway.

I’m happy to announce that TarotPathwork will finally be available on the Apple App store later this week after long negotiations with the Apple bureaucracy. This will be available by the end of the week in time for the next weekly forecast on Sunday.

A number of you have been asking for a regular study group, so I'm planning to launch one late this month or early November. Each session will be built around a topic, and they'll be drop-in, first come, first served. Free members can attend one session to try it out, but the group is mainly a benefit for subscribers. I will be dropping a poll onto the app tomorrow on the main dashboard, so watch out for that.

If you want to go deeper into the tarot, don’t forget to sign up for the RWS Decoded course that begins October tomorrow. You can find out more here

As always, if you are struggling with anything personally or have a question on where to start first in your studies, I can always be reached at fraterlucis@tarotpathwork.com
