Angels & Demons: How We Allow Them In and Out of Our Lives

Angels & Demons: How We Allow Them In and Out of Our Lives

For most people, the words angel and demon occupy the realm of myth—archetypes carved into scripture and story. But anyone who works with the inner worlds, who practices Kabbalah, divination, or frequents the tarotpathwork community, eventually discovers that these forces are not abstract. They are types of entities who tread on the other side of the veil of our existence. What calls them, or attracts them to us, are our patterns of consciousness and emotion that colour our daily lives. The interesting aspect of this is it all begins from within you.

The truth is simple, though rarely spoken plainly: We invite these forces in. We also dismiss them. Most of the time, we do both unconsciously. Angels and demons are not moral labels. They are directions of influence on the spiritual plane that emanates down into our soul and finally our psyche. They reflect the degree to which we are aligned with divine order—or sliding into distortion. To understand how we let them in, we must understand what they truly are.

What Angels Actually Are

An angel, in the Kabbalistic sense, is not a personality. It is a entity that always reflects a state of divine coherence. Think of a soldier that has a singular duty and is always on watch. An angelic force, that is the outcome of an angels actions, appears wherever we allow:

  • clarity instead of confusion

  • responsibility instead of collapse

  • truth instead of narrative

  • higher reasoning instead of reactive ego

  • sovereignty instead of spiritual passivity

These forces support our ascent toward coherence. They represent the return of the soul rising back up the Tree—Binah, Chesed, Tifereth, and so on. In other words, it puts us in touch with God.

We allow angels in when we choose alignment with a pattern of awareness rather than hollow impulse.

This does not depend on purity, It depends on willingness. You do not need to be perfect to be guided—only available.

The Shem HaMephorash angels, in particular, operate through very specific currents of consciousness. When your thoughts, choices, and emotional state match the frequency of their domain, they naturally move into your life. Not because you beg, but because you have tuned yourself to the same signal. This is why revelation often arises when you become still, honest, or present—your interior state becomes compatible with the angelic current.

What Demons Actually Are

A demon is not always fallen angel. A demon is an entity that has a distorted alignment. It is consciousness collapsed inward on itself—reactive, egoic, compulsive. It feeds on:

  • unresolved fear

  • shame loops

  • resentment

  • avoidance

  • addictions to identity

  • refusal to take responsibility

In Kabbalah, demonic influence arises whenever we fall away from the vertical axis of the Tree and begin spiraling in the Qlippothic shells. The Qlippoth is not a “hell” but the leftover husks of unintegrated experience, the places where the soul’s light does not flow. Once we begin corresponding more to these distortions, it invites a demon, or several into your life.

We allow demons in when we abandon awareness. When we let a painful story replace truth. When we choose short-term emotion over long-term alignment. When we trade sovereignty for immediate relief. This does not make us evil. It makes us human. But it also makes us porous.

How We Invite Angels In

You do not summon angels with candles or chants alone. You summon them through alignment.

  1. Honesty — Angels rush toward truth like water into an emptied cup.

  2. Stillness — Silence is their doorway. Noise is their barricade.

  3. Responsibility — They cannot operate where blame has taken stewardship.

  4. Integrity of intent — When your desire is coherent, angelic intelligence responds.

  5. Framework — Ritual, prayer, the tarot, the Tree—these provide the structure through which higher forces interface with us.

When you choose clarity over confusion, an angelic force enters your life instantly. When you shift from reaction to observation, an angelic force stabilizes you. When you speak truth against the momentum of fear, an angel stands behind you.

Angels are not distant. We are simply distracted.

How We Allow Demons In

Demons enter through the unconscious doorways we leave unguarded.

1. Emotional indulgence without awareness

Not feeling emotions—indulging them. Replaying them.
Letting them accumulate narrative mass.

2. Egoic identity loops

“I am this way.”
“I always do this.”
“This is just who I am.”

Identity calcifies. Light cannot flow. Qlippoth forms.

3. Avoidance

Avoidance is the demon’s favourite food.
It keeps the psyche soft, undefended, reactive.

4. Victim-consciousness

Where there is no sovereignty, there is no angelic support.
Only demonic spirals of self-abandonment.

5. Addiction to chaos

Some people believe chaos is “proof they are alive.” But chaos is merely an unprotected temple. Demons do not “take over” without permission. We invite them. Through habits. Through states. Through the stories we tell.

The Boundaries Between Worlds Are Psychological

This is the great secret. Your inner state is a temple with doors, Every thought is a latch, Every emotion is an opening, Every choice is a summons.

When the mind is chaotic, the demonic can move freely. When the heart is grounded, the angelic steps in. This is why spiritual sovereignty matters. Don’t think of it as a philosophy, but rather hygiene. The goal is not to banish demons forever. The goal is to become the kind of person they cannot inhabit. The moment you take responsibility for your consciousness—without shame, without collapse—the demonic loses its foothold, and the angelic becomes the default current again.

Allowing What Serves, Dismissing What Does Not

The most advanced principle in angelology is also the simplest:
You get to choose who enters your inner world. Because your inner world is a kingdom.

You can allow:

  • clarity

  • peace

  • revelation

  • intuition

  • presence

  • purpose

Or you can allow:

  • fear

  • chaos

  • resentment

  • avoidance

  • narrative loops

Most of the time you do not need to fight the demonic - just close the door by being aware of your state. You do not need to beg for angelic help, just open the door by aligning your actions with the awareness and state you would like to experience. Spiritual protection is not a circle of salt. It is a posture. When done consistently

  • Angels amplify everything in you that is aligned with the Divine.

  • Demons amplify everything in you that is misaligned.

The more self-aware you become, the more disciplined your inner temple, the more sovereign your mind and heart…

…the more your life becomes guided by higher forces rather than hijacked by lower ones. During your life your job is not to fight the dark or chase the light. Your job is to remain aligned, moment by moment, because alignment itself, is the invocation.
