Stemmatic notes

On the SY cosmological lineage as parallel track: The tradition visible on the left of this diagram never entered Western Esotericism as Baker's historiography defines it. The absorption process — Lévi 1856 — corrupted the Kabbalistic layer at the point of entry. Reuchlin and Agrippa represent the last sustained engagement with Hebrew sources before that absorption; by the time their work reaches the GD via Rosicrucianism it has been thoroughly Hermeticised.

On Lévi as originating node, not corrupted transmitter: Lévi did not corrupt an existing Hermetic-Kabbalistic synthesis — he invented one. His sequential mapping is an originating act. Mathers and Westcott were aware of the discrepancy with the SY (GD 2/4/3/18 names Lévi as a predecessor who failed) and chose to resolve it by reassigning planetary attributions rather than abandoning the sequential structure. The GD system is an innovation claiming to be a restoration.

On the Principia as restoration, not new system: The convergence at the bottom of this diagram is not the introduction of a competing esoteric system. It is the re-entry of the oldest recoverable textual layer — Hayman's critical reconstruction of the SY — into a conversation from which it was excluded at the moment of synthesis. The empirical validation (n=85+, 6/7 Four Worlds correlations) is not the argument for the restoration; the primary textual evidence is. The empirical data is evidence that the restoration is accurate.
